Take The Party Outside

Everything is buzzing with excitement. Spring has sprung in Northeast Georgia. Fuchsia and white Azaleas along with big fluffy Snowball Hydrangeas speckle the landscape set amongst budding trees and fresh green grass. Tulip and dogwood trees have cast their bloom and the sounds of spring is in the air. Sky blue Robin eggs are in the nest and bluejays are close by. Brilliant red Cardinals traverse the ivy lined fence and butterflies are already sipping nectar.

Lawnmowers create racetrack streaks across the lawn, while tractors turn over earth to create pathways for garden planting. A big tale-tell that winter has ended is the hovering of Boar Bees. They are menacing to behold. About twice the size of a bumble bee, they motor at eye level as they search for an entrance into wood framed buildings. Once you get used to the fact that they won't sting, they are fascinating to watch.

The last of the Camellia's are clinging to the trees in faded colors of bright pink, deep garnet, and ivory. They have dropped in mounds around the base of the tree, creating their own compost. The Magnolia and Fig trees are shooting new sprigs. Once dormant grapevines are flowering and fruit trees are budding.

With the sunshine warming the earth and the days getting longer, it's time to start planning those outdoor parties.

Here's a list of 5 things to help get your party started:

  1. Start with your why (why are you planning this party)

  2. Consider your what (what will make your party successful)

  3. Identify your when (what season fits the motive for your event)

  4. Lock in your where (once your guests know where to go they can begin to plan their travel)

  5. Don't forget the WOW! (when to outsource the work)

What is on your calendar this year? Did a NYE on one knee produce a resounding, "YES"? Are you planning a big church or an outdoor themed wedding? With Uncle Bob in Florida, and Aunt Karen in Colorado, setting the date for the family reunion takes an act of congress. Then there's the company picnic, the kids birthday parties, and your best friend turns 50 this year! You might need a little help pulling it all off!

We've got your back.
